Our Story
Charlton Cattle Company is family owned and operated and has deep roots in the community of Czar, Alberta. Since 1910, four generations have ranched along the Ribstone Creek and we are thrilled to be passing on such rich traditions to the next generation.
Our Beef
From pasture to plate, we are proud to produce a 100% natural product. Our animals are home-raised in a low-stress environment, without the use of added hormones or steroids. We believe our 100% natural beef is truly a cut above and think you will, too.

People ask me, don’t you go out at night? I tell them no. Even on the heifers? No. If I don’t see something starting at 8 o’clock at night, I can go to bed quite comfortably and sleep quite well. They hit the ground, usually jump right up, and away they go. Between our heifers and your bulls – the selection that’s gone into it – it just works.
We are happy using Charlton Cattle Co bulls - commercial beef producer for over 30 years, and I can guarantee you, a heifer which can have a calf with minimal problems trumps a heifer which cannot stand up due to a hard pull. Economics and future use of that female trumps all.
